Alfombras Bokhara

Las alfombras Bukhara se tejen en Belutchistán y en regiones diferentes de Uzbekistán, de Turkmenistán y de Afganistán. En las alfombras Turkmenistan pertenecen las Basjir, Salor, Tekke-Bukhara, Jolam-Bocharaband, Ersari, Tjaudor y Yomut, las cuales son ejemplos de las alfombras que se llaman Bukhara. Algunas de las regiones de Turkmenistán, donde se tejen estas alfombras son Ashkabad, Bakharden, Geok-Tepe, Kizyl-Arvat y Merv. Los rojos oscuros y toda la escala del rojo, desde el morado hasta el marrón, son los colores predominantes con los octágonos repetidos, los rombos y los motivos yomut siendo las características básicas de estas alfombras. Su urdimbre es siempre de lana.
